Middlesboro, Ky. —

For the second time in three weeks, the Somerset Briar Jumpers found a way to get past Middlesboro, punching their ticket to a regional championship game next week.
Last night on the Yellowjackets home turf, Somerset rallied from a late, 13-10 fourth quarter deficit, to come back for a thrilling 19-13 win on the road over Middlesboro.
Senior running back Will Lange scored his first touchdown of the season in overtime on a run that improved Somerset to 7-4 on the season and advanced the Briar Jumpers to the regional title game.
Running back Bryson Jones gave Somerset an early cushion in the first quarter on a 35-yard scamper, but the Yellowjackets knotted things up later at 7-7.
A 20-yard field goal from Alex Franklin early in the third period put Somerset back out on top at 10-7, but a Middlesboro touchdown put Somerset down 13-10 in the final stanza.
Franklin booted a 20-yard field goal with only :34 left in regulation to knot things up at 13-13, sending the game into overtime, setting up Lange to wear the laurel of hero for Somerset.
