“A lot of people don’t give our group enough credit they see its Pulaski but they don’t understand what goes into being apart of this team,” stated Pulaski coach Teresa Combs. “Sometimes people just expect us to do things and they don’t give the girls enough credit for the work and the preparation that they put into it.”
In the first set there were three ties and two lead changes. Pulaski started the set with the lead and the Lady Rebels were not able to tie the score until 9 all. The Lady Maroons held on to the lead with a kill from Samantha Randolph.

Pulaski won the set 25-17, an eight-point lead was the largest the Lady Maroons were able to hold.

Randolph had three kills in the set, Smith had a block and a kill, Jessica Ping had an ace and two kills, CeCe Roberts had an ace and a kill, and Katie Dick had a block and a kill to help the Lady Maroons end the set with a score of 25-12.
