Jon D. and Angela N. Spears are proud to announce the birth of their son, Cooper Samuel.

Cooper was born June 18, 2008, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds 10-1/2 ounces and measured 19-1/2 inches long.

Maternal grandmother is Carol R. Sims. Maternal great-grandparents are Sylvia Fern and the late Noel Roberts of Kings Mountain.

Paternal grandparents are David and Sherri Spears of Somerset. Paternal great-grandparents are Virginia and the late Vernon Spears, Somerset; Don Cummins, Mount Vernon; and Nina J. Cummins, Somerset.
