Suspect arrested in meth sting

Reynolds allegedly sold to undercover agent

Somerset —

A Pulaski County man was arrested this week on charges that he sold methamphe-tamine to an undercover agent.
Shawn M. Reynolds, 26, of West Ky. 80, Somerset, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, a first offense. He was also charged with being a persistent felony offender, for having at least two other such convictions.
Reynolds was indicted as the result of an operation conducted by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department’s narcotics division earlier this year, where Reynolds allegedly soled the illegal drug methamphetamine during an undercover buy.
Reynolds was taken into custody on the Circuit Court arrest warrant on Thursday and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash or property bond.
• Also arrested this week by the sheriff’s department was Dustin A. Girdler, 28, of Ringgold Road, Somerset. He was charged Thursday with allegedly being a fugitive from justice.
Girdler was determined to be wanted by the North Carolina Department of Corrections for probation violation.
Girdler was apprehended on May 28 on the a Pulaski District Court warrant for flagrant non-support and fleeing or evading police on foot after he ran of sheriff’s deputies while they were attempting to serve him with the warrants of arrest.
Girdler is still lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
