Two people injured in Ferry Road collision

Somerset —  

Two people were injured in a car accident over the weekend.
Emergency personnel responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Ferry Road, located west of Somerset, at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.
Once they arrived on the scene, emergency workers found that the collision occurred when a southbound 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Thomas Hamley, 31, of Cassie Road, Burnside, struck a northbound 2007 Ford Focus driven by Kenneth Dugger, 74, of Gibson Lane, Somerset, according to the sheriff’s department.
Hamley lost control of the Chevrolet, according to the sheriff’s department. 
Dugger was treated at the scene by Somerset-Pulaski EMS and transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Hamley was also treated at the scene and flown by helicopter to the University of Kentucky Medical Center by Air Methods.
The Parkers Mill Volunteer Fire Department also assisted on the scene, according to the sheriff’s department.
