Somerset — Here are the stories the Commonwealth Journal is following for Friday's edition:

• A woman was killed Thursday evening when she was struck by a train while walking on the tracks — in roughly the same area as the last two such accidents.

• As many as 53 incidents of alleged excessive force involving a Pulaski County Sheriff’s deputy have come to light as a result of his ongoing U.S. District Court case, and the defense is seeking to have the trial delayed.

• The man accused of shooting a truck driver last week during an alleged incident of road rage has pleaded not guilty.
