Bullock recovering from surgery

Somerset —

Pulaski County Judge-Executive Barty Bullock is on the mend after surgery last month and missed yesterday’s fiscal court meeting.
Bullock underwent surgery on May 30 for an ulcerated colon — a recurrence of medical problems he endured last fall.
“I’m home now recuperating — it’s just happening as fast as I would like it to happen,” Bullock said in a news release. “I appreciate very much all of the cards and phone calls, but most of all the prayers on my behalf.
“I’m hoping to be back up and at the courthouse before too long,” Bullock added. “Meanwhile, I’m thankful for my wonderful staff and great job they are doing taking care of Pulaski County business.”
Bullock lost his bid for a third term as judge when he dropped a narrow six-vote decision to Steve Kelley in the Republican Primary last month.
Kelley will square off against Democrat Rodney Casada in November’s General Election.
