Woman charged with trying to kill brother

Somerset — A Somerset woman was arrested Saturday and charged with trying to kill her brother, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

Pamela Holder, 55, was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder after the late morning shooting incident.

According to the sheriff’s department, at 11:22 a.m., deputies responded to 289 Von Street on a report of a domestic altercation with assault. It was reported at the time that a firearm was involved in the altercation.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Pamela Holder and Charles Holder, brother and sister, had allegedly been in a minor altercation over a telephone.

After the initial assault, it was determined that Pamela left the residence and went to her vehicle parked outside the home to retrieve a firearm, then returned and fired a round in the direction of Charles, according to the sheriff’s department.

The shot struck the chair that the victim stated he was sitting in at the time, according to the sheriff’s report.

No injuries were reported to have occurred to the victim from the altercation or the shooting incident, according to the sheriff’s office, though Pamela did allegedly receive minor injuries in reference to the initial altercation.

Pamela Holder was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
