Science Hill —

A Pulaski County man was killed early Monday morning after he was struck by a train in Science Hill.
According to Pulaski County Coroner Chuck Godbey, Korey Nicholls, 21, was pronounced dead shortly after 6 a.m. Monday.
Emergency responders were called to the Etna Road train crossing, located at the intersection of Ky. 452 and Ky. 1247 in Science Hill, after Norfolk Southern Railroad reported there had been an accident, according to Godbey.
Godbey said Nicholls was hit by the northbound train at around 5:30 a.m. most likely just south of the crossing. The train came to a stop in the approximate area of the crossing.
Godbey said Nicholls’ body has been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
The incident is still under investigation.
