Woman injured in crash at Ky. 90 and Ky. 1247

Somerset — A local woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon around the Burnside partial cloverleaf intersection.

According to Burnside Police, Christine Pyles, 57, of Hill Road, Somerset was driving a 2001 Toyota Camry and attempting to turn west onto Ky. 1247/Ky. 90 from the exit ramp from U.S. 27 when she pulled into the path of a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero operated by Todd Hendrix, 24, of Monticello. Hendrix was traveling eastbound on Ky. 1247 prior to the collision.

Pyles was extricated from her vehicle by the Somerset Fire Department and the Burnside Volunteer Fire Department, then treated at the scene and taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, according to Burnside Police.

Units were assisted at the scene by the Burnside Fire Department, Fifth District Constable Mike Wallace, the Somerset Fire Department, and the Tateville Volunteer Fire Department. Investigation into the collision is continuing by Burnside Police.
