City agencies dealing with gas leak

Somerset — From the Somerset Police Department:

If you use East University Drive between KY 1247 and KY 39 or live in the area, your drive may be affected by a gas pipeline leak.

Somerset police, fire, street, and gas service are working to fix the problem and co...ntrol traffic away from the area.

The roadway is blocked and may remain blocked for several hours. SPD Capt. Shannon Smith said it's possible the roadway could be blocked over night and into the morning hours, possibly affecting school traffic.

"We appreciate your patience and will post further details when the situation changes," said Smith.
