Somerset — A U.S. Postal Service employee escaped uninjured Tuesday after she attempted to drive through high water on Clay Hill Road, located just off Ky. 192 in eastern Pulaski County. The road, which is known to flood with heavy rains, remained impassable for much of Tuesday, and Pulaski County Road Department employees placed “High Water” signs there to alert motorists. The county received nearly two inches of rain overnight Monday, causing creeks to swell and flooding issues on several rural roadways. More storms were predicted to sweep through on Tuesday night.
