Science Hill —
It’s that time of year again for one northern Pulaski County town.
This weekend, Science Hill will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony — complete with refreshments, music and more.
The event has become a tradition in the community since it began six years ago.
Make sure to bundle up, though. Although Saturday’s temperatures aren’t expected to be as bitterly cold as it has been this week, it’ll still be nippy enough to warrant heavy winter coats, hats and gloves. Saturday’s temperatures aren’t expected to his the freezing point, and temperatures will drop as the overnight hours set in.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, in downtown Science Hill next to the post office.
Refreshments will be provided and music will be available as well. Children at the event may even be able to have a chat with Santa Claus himself, who is known to stop in to take in the tree lighting.
After Saturday, the tree’s lights will be turned on and Christmas music will be played every evening after dark through New Year’s Eve.
