Injury accident on Ky. 192

Somerset — A woman was injured Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash about three-and-a-half miles outside of Somerset on Ky. 192.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, a 2001 Kia operated by William Granted, 38, of Somerset lost control in a curve, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway on the right shoulder and go over an embankment, striking a tree.

Granter was en route to take his step-son David Mauratic, 12, to the hospital for treatment of a just-sustained BB gun injury.

Neither Granter nor Mauratic were injured in the crash, but another passenger, Angela Granter, 40, had to be treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Lake Cumberland Regional hospital for treatment of injuries to her head.

Deputy Scott West noted that there were wet conditions on the road at the time of the wreck due to a rain earlier that day.
