Mac A. Dalton, 66, of West Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on April 28, 1942, in Nancy, Ky., to the late Vola and Ella B. Sumpter Dalton. He was a farmer and enjoyed reading, arrowhead hunting, fishing, and whittling. He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church #2 of Nancy.
He is survived by four daughters, Ronda (and Mike) Johnson of Columbia, Ky.; Shannon (and T.J.) Branham of Elgin, S.C., Mary Wilson and Lisa Wilson, both of Somerset; two brothers, Harry Dalton of Mason, Ohio, and Kenneth (and Norma) Dalton of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Virginia (and M.C.) Cundiff of Shelbyville, Ind., and Edna (and Harold) Allen of Nancy; five grandchildren, Nathan Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Casey Wilson, Joshua Branham, and Joseph Branham; and a wife of a previous marriage, Joyce Wilson of Somerset.
Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers, Leonard, Ercell, Beecher, Harold Lee, and Howard; and a sister, Sheila Kaye Dalton.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 5, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. David Green officiating.
Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery #2 in Nancy.
Visitation will be today, May 4, after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Ky., 42503.
