Bobby Joe Stepp, 43, of Maple Leaf Lane, Nicholasville, Ky., formerly of Somerset, Ky., died May 1, 2008, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center following being struck by a motor vehicle on Oak Hill Road while walking.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1964, in Indianapolis, Ind., to the late David Allen Miller and Geraldine Lovell Stepp Miller, both of Somerset.
He was a construction worker until an automobile accident in April of 2006 disabled him. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sisters, Zona Miller (and Terry) Mink of Brodhead, Ky., and Sharon Elizabeth Miller of Somerset; two nieces, Kelley Dillard (and Jason) Hughes of Burnside, Ky., and Elizabeth Dillard (and Dan) Christian Jr., of Mt. Vernon, Ky.; two great nephews, Tyler Hughes and Maddox Christian; three great nieces, Katessa Hughes, Tyanne Hughes, and Draven Christian; one special uncle, Donald Miller of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Of special mention are Debbie Bryant, Bruce Haack, Tim Stinnett and Tim Tuggle, all of Nicholasville, Tim Pence and Ed Lovins of Somerset, and his loving girlfriend, Judy Worley.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Denton Ray Stepp; a host of aunts and uncles and other relatives; and three sisters, including one set of twins and one other sister who all died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Meece Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bobbitt Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today, May 4, at the funeral home.
