Joseph Koger

Joseph “Joe” Koger, age 44, of Somerset, Ky. passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8 at 1 p.m. at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home in Whitley City, Ky. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday at 11 a.m. until funeral service time at the funeral home.

Joe was born on Sept. 4, 1963 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Earl Koger and Kathryn Sharp Koger. He attended the Science Hill Nazarene Church and ran his own lawn service business. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and wave runners.

Survivors include his parents, Earl and Kathryn Koger, of Somerset, Ky.; three brothers, Danny Koger, of Bethel, Ohio, Steve (and Denise) Koger, of Milford, Ohio and Greg Koger, of Walton, Ky.; three sisters, Mary (and Jack) Chesson, of Tampa, Fla., Sherry Wilkerson, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jenny (and Eric) Allen, of Goshen, Ohio; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home of Whitley City, Ky. is serving the family of Joseph “Joe” Koger.
