Donald Lee Fisher, 53, a resident of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Monday evening, May 5, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
He was born May 23, 1954 at Pulaski County, Ky., the son of James Fisher and Evelyn Taylor Fisher. He was a chef for many years at Somerset Lodge.
Donald is survived by his mother, Evelyn Fisher, of Somerset; six brothers and sisters, Brenda Colyer, James Fisher, Gary Fisher, Susie Dagley, David Fisher, and John Fisher, all of Somerset, Ky.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Fisher; and one brother, Bobby Fisher.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Dustin York officiating.
Musical selections include “Wish You Were Here,” “Amazing Grace,” “I Can Only Imagine” and “Wayfaring Stranger.”
A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral time.
Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Fisher, Billy Fisher, Kevin Fisher, Joey Fisher, Michael Fisher, Russell Miller, Michael Randall, Tyler Walker, Matthew Cox and Adam Cooksey. Robert Busack will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements by the Donald Fisher family.
