Betty Jo Siler Reynolds Wolsey, age 76, of Somerset, departed this life on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1932 in Hazard, Ky. to the late William H. and Annie W. Carter Siler. She was a retired dental assistant for Dr. Frank Shearer, member of the Senior Friends of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, and of the Methodist faith. She loved growing flowers, her family and grandchildren.
Mrs. Wolsey is survived by a son, Jack Ray Reynolds, of Somerset; a daughter, Charlotte (and David) Helton, of Eubank, Ky.; six grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Helton, Tonya (and Lonnie) Allen, Ena (and David) Compton, John Reynolds, Jason (and Stephanie) Reynolds; and ten great-grandchildren, Alonzo, Jacoby, and Isaac Allen, Caleb New, Evan and Emily Compton, Canaan and Nora Reynolds, and Sidney and Mia Reynolds.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Charles Wolsey, whom she married on Aug. 26, 1958 in Somerset; five brothers, William H. David, John C. Neal, Baron W. Neal, Clyde Siler, and Billy Siler; and a grandchild, Josh Reynolds.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 8 at 12:30 p.m. at the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Ky. with Bro. Steve Meece officiating.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 402 Coomer Street, Somerset, Ky. 42501.
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
