James “Vertrees” Daulton, age 72, of 910 E. Frog Hollow Rd. in Science Hill, Ky., son of the late Chester and Pearl Brock Daulton, departed this life on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at his home in the presence of his family.
Mr. Daulton was united in marriage to Doris Daulton on March 27, 1959. They spent 49 wonderful years together. Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth Daulton, of Science Hill, Ky. and Benjamin (and Teresa), also of Science Hill, Ky.; one brother Leonard Daulton, of Somerset, Ky.; and three sisters, Alberta Hudson, of Somerset, Ky., Flonnie Holt, of Eubank, Ky., and Barbara Shepherd, of Somerset, Ky. Mr. Daulton also leaves behind two wonderful grandchildren, Shane and Brandon Daulton and several nieces and nephews who will greatly miss Vertrees.
Mr. Daulton was a member of Campground Baptist Church. Vertrees had a passion for farming and he loved the Kentucky Wildcats.
Funeral services for Mr. Daulton will be held on Monday, May 12 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.
The family of Vertrees will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Science Hill Cemetery.
Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. James “Vertrees” Daulton.
