Sue Horton

Sue Reed Horton, 61, a resident of McDonough, Georgia and formerly of Burnside, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

She was born September 14, 1946 at Oneida, Tenn., the daughter of Hernald Howard Reed and Irma Lucille Reed Lloyd. Sue was baptised March 4, 1956 at Pentecost Baptist Church in Oneida, Tenn. She was united in marriage to Dan T. Horton at Burnide, Ky. on May 30, 1964. She is survived by her husband Dan, of the home in McDonough, Ga.; her mother, Irma of Somerset; two children, Sherri Danene Miller (and her husband Kevin), Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michelle S. Meadows, Burnside, Ky.; four grandchildren, William Aaron Meadows and Ashley Meadows, both of Burnside, Ky., and Kayla Miller and Alex Miller, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Irma Louise Reed Sexton, Huntsville, Tenn., and Ruth Allean Reed, Killen, Ala.; four brothers, William H. Reed, Castalian Springs, Tenn., Wayne D. Reed, Cedar Bluff, Ala., Timothy Reed, Somerset, and James Robert Reed, Frazier, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hernald Reed; one brother, David Tate Reed; and one sister, Mary Beth Reed.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 14 at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Coy Cox officiating.

A visitation will be held after 5 p.m. tonight at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery.
