— Ada Scott Highland passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at her home in Somerset, Ky., surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
She was born August 28, 1920 in Little Falls, Minn. to the late Raymond C. and Nellie Lackore.
Ada is survived by her children, John and Patty Scott of Apple Valley, Minn., and Sandy and Bill Somers of Somerset, Ky. Grandchildren surviving her are John Scott and Jody Barth of Sartell, Minn.; Will Somers and Amy Snyder of Cape Coral, Fla.; Jamie Scott of Burnesville, Minn.; Geoff Somers of Somerset, Ky. and Peter Scott of Apple Valley, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Ellsworth M. “Scotty” Scott and Archie Highland; children Jimmy and Charles; siblings, Vance, Sr, Cmdr. R. C. Lackore II & Marie Eckblad.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m. at Pisgah Presbyterian Church.
The family is requesting donations to God's Food Pantry in lieu of flowers.
Somerset Undertaking and Crematory is in charge of all arrangements.
