Marvin “Running Water” Wilson, 67, of North Hwy. 27 in Science Hill, Ky., passed away Monday, June 29, 2009, at his residence.
He was born in Liberty, Ky., on March 15, 1942, son of the late Alvis R. Wilson and Nora Virdie Gossor Wilson Rodriguez. He was self-employed and of the Church of God faith. He was a member of the Somerset Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two sons, Marvin Lee (and Jo Ann) Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Ky., and Mark Anthony (and Tammy) Wilson of Stanford, Ky.; two daughters, Kathy Rose (and Dan) Davidson and Connie Nora Watson, both of Stanford; one brother, Ralph Wilson of Stanford; three sisters, Dorothy Hubble and Glenna Rice, both of Junction City, Ky., and Judy Perkins of Stanford; three grandchildren, Tarra Wilson, Derek Watson and Amanda Irvin; and one great granddaughter, Trinity Irvin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Esley Wilson; and one sister, Lora Snow.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, July 1, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery in Danville, Ky.
Visitation will be after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.
