Estelene Hatter, 60, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Hatter was born in Pike County, Ky., on Aug. 5, 1948, to Jessie Coleman Scott, Burnside, Ky., and the late Estel Scott. She loved writing poems and painting, and she was an avid reader and enjoyed her family, friends and living life. Mrs. Hatter is of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Hatter is survived by her mother, Jessie Coleman Scott, Burnside; a son, Kirby Kilgore, Burnside; four daughters, Cheryl (and Chris) Arthur, Bethel Ridge, Ky., Tiffany Dishon, Science Hill, Ky., Alisha Stalker, Somerset, and Krista Stalker, Elkhorn City, Ky.; two brothers, Richard Scott, Prestonsburg, Ky., and Morris (and Jenny) Scott, Pike County; four sisters, Pam Ratliff, Burnside, Sherry (and L.C.) Flynn, Somerset, Kathy Mesaros, Burnside, and Janice Chapman, Eubank, Ky.; 12 grandchildren, Kyle, Hannah, Tony Lee, Jacob, Hailey, Darrian, Shawn, Kelsey, Haley, Devon, Alex, and Adrianna; and a special friend, Pam Ping.
She was preceded in death by her father, Estel Scott.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, at noon in the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 W. Ky. 80, Somerset.
Funeral services for Estelene Hatter will be held on Friday, July 3, at the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Bro. Dustin York officiating.
