Jackie D. Goff, Jr., 53, husband of Sylvia Barnett Goff, died Friday, July 4, 2008 in Eubank, Ky.
He was born on February 26, 1955 in Louisville, Ky., a son of the late Jack Goff and Marie Stevens Goff. He owned and operated Goff’s Backhoe Service for 13 Years. His hobbies and interest were fishing, cats and animals.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia Barnett Goff of Eubank, Ky., whom he married on September 8, 1979; his son, Chris Goff of Florence, Ky.; one step son, Marty New of Eubank, Ky.; two brothers, Larry Goff of Mt. Vernon, Ky., and Ronnie Goff of Brodhead, Ky.; and special friend, Phil Thompson, as well as a host of nephews, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Jack Goff, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Jackie D. Goff, Jr. will be at 11 A.M. today at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Rick Reynolds officiating; burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Casket Bearers will be Keith Goff, Kevin Goff, Jason Goff, Greg Goff, Bruce Goff, and Phil Thompson.
Visitation for Mr. Jackie D. Goff, Jr. was be Monday, July 7 from 6 –9 p.m. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
