Susie Jane Kissee Molden, 94, of Nancy, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Molden was born in Cain Store Community of Pulaski County, Ky., on Feb. 21, 1914, to the late Sylvester and Mary Elizabeth Allen Kissee. She was a homemaker, loved gardening and quilting, and was a member of the Pleasant Point Baptist Church for over 18 years.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney (and Winnie M.) Molden, Ingle, Ky., and Raliegh Loyd (and Dianna) Molden, Attica, Ind.; a daughter, Deloris (and Bucky) Rogers, Ingle; two sisters, Edith Whitaker, Naples, Fla., and Clara Auterson, Norwood, Ohio; two grandchildren, Lisa (and Glen) Mink, Ingle, and Debbie (and John) Whitaker, Lockland, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Ashley (and Kenny) Terry, Brittany (and Jared) Watson, Jenillee (and Michael) Schierloh, and Trevor Whitaker; and three great-great grandchildren, Wyatt Whitaker, Hudson Schierloh, and Eliza Schierloh.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Molden, whom she married Dec. 23, 1931, in Ingle; four brothers, Woodrow, Herbert, Hollis, and Elmer Kissee; and five sisters, Ida Wilson, Gertrude Dick, Jewell Brooks, Doris Burkett, and an infant sister, Mary Deloris Kissee.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Bro. Kenneth Hammonds and Bro. Ronald Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedar Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 22, at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cedar Point Cemetery Fund.
