Charlie Troxtell

Charlie W. Troxtell, age 89 of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008 at Britthaven of Somerset.
He was born on March 22, 1919 in the Kidder community of Wayne County. He was a retired carpenter for the American Ship Building Company in Loraine, Ohio and WW II Army veteran. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church at Kidder and the Burnside Masonic Lodge #634. Charlie enjoyed traveling and U.K. Basketball.
Mr. Troxtell is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Turner of Fla.; two brothers, Frank Troxtell of Somerset and John Troxtle of Science Hill, Ky.; two grandchildren, Billy Turner and Eric Turner; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, Goldie, Edward, Ernest, and Willard; and four sisters, Zelma New, Myrtle Hall, Christine Gossett, and Thelma Jones.
Visitation for Mr. Troxtell will be Friday, Aug. 29 after 6 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset. Burnside Masonic Lodge #634 at 7 p.m. will conduct masonic rites.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 30 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New and Bro. Ulanda Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Kidder with military honors conducted by American Legion Post no. 38 Honor Guard.
