Burl E. Mink, 77, of the Public community of Pulaski County, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born September 20, 1930 in Pulaski County, Ky., to the late Frank and Elizabeth Renner Mink. He was a farmer and a member of the Sinking Valley Baptist Church.
Surviving him are his three sons, David Mink, Bradley Mink, and Michael (and Darla) Mink, all of Pulaski County; three daughters, Kathy Mink of Pulaski Co., Sheila (and David) Bullock of Pulaski Co., and Jane Baldwin of Johnson County, Ky.; 12 grandchildren, Byron Vaught, Brian Whitaker, Scotty Stogsdill, Sara Beth Bullock, Brittany Mink, Daniel Mink, Colby Mink, Brandon Mink, Karen Logan, Kristy Ritchie, Heather Meece, and Jessie Meece; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby Jo Mink, Dylan Mink, Bradley “Zayne” Logan, Allison Ritchie, McKenzie Vaught; Mason Whitaker, and Chloe Jo Stogsdill; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ruby McCalister Mink; an infant son; three brothers, Russell, Willie, and Arthur Mink; and three sisters, Geneva Branscum, Martha Whitaker, and Pearl Frazier.
Visitation for Mr. Mink will be after 6 p.m. today at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro Kevin Bullock and Bro. Bradley Goforth officiating.
Burial will follow in the McCalister-Chaney Family Cemetery.
