Flora McKee

Flora Thelma (Foust) McKee, daughter of the late Marion and Isabellie (Worley) Foust was born in Fidelity, Ky., on April 20, 1914, and departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at her residence in Burnside, Ky., in the presence of her family.

Mrs. Mckee was united in marriage on March 5, 1932, to Mr. Brady McKee, whom after 41 years of marriage departed her to be with the Lord on Jan. 17, 1974.

Mrs. Flora McKee is survived by six children; Morris, Sherrill, Larry, Stephen, Garry (and Anna) Mckee, all of Sloans Valley, Ky., and Lynn (and Iris) McKee, Eagle River, Alaska. Mrs. McKee also leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 39 great-Great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who all will mourn her passing.

Besides her parents and husband, Flora was preceded in death in February 1938 by one daughter, Joyce Mckee.

Mrs. McKee was the oldest member of the Sloans Valley Baptist Church, a housewife and a loving Mother.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Miller Sr. officiating.

The family of Mrs. McKee will receive friends on Friday (today), Oct. 10, 2008, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will be held in the Sloans Valley Cemetery in Burnside, Ky.
