Faye Rean Valentine, 65, a resident of Ky. 452, Somerset, went to be with the Lord at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family.
She was born Sept. 30, 1942, in McCreary County, Ky., the daughter of the late Arvil Luther Worley and Edith Catherine Hollers.
Faye Rean is survived by her three sisters, Hazel McMains, Evelyn Wilma (and her husband, Robert) Reynolds and Marie Short, all of Somerset, Ky.; 10 nieces and nephews, Robert E. McMains, JoAnn Rosencrantz, Donna Lee McMains, Ricky Ray Reynolds, Paula Fay Kovoch, Michael G. Reynolds, Darrin Lee Short, Gary Edward Short, Stephen Christopher Short and Johnnie D. Short.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Edith.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Oct. 12, 2008, at the “Life’s Memories” chapel of Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Angel officiating. Vocalists will be Harold and Becky Angel singing “I’ll Fly Away.” Pianist will be Diane Begley.
Faye Rean will be laid to rest in her family burial plot at Sloans Valley Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Gunther, Darrin Short, Ricky Reynolds, Bob Wojick, Randy Glover and Roger Angel.
A visitation will be held Saturday evening after 5 p.m. at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home, 603 Monticello Street.
