Edith Lillian Duncan, 94, of Somerset, Ky., formerly of Oneida, Tenn., passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the residence of her daughter.
Born in Scott County, Tenn., November 22, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Cressie Strunk.
Edith was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church for 70 years.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Fred H. Duncan and a brother, Floyd Strunk.
She is survived by three children, Freddie Conatser (and husband Donald) of Port Orange, Fla., Shirley Ray (and husband Bill) of Somerset, Ky., and Bill R. Duncan of Deland, Fla.; one sister, Elsie King (and husband Marshall); one brother, Lloyd Strunk, both of Winfield, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Fred Conatser and Joey Conatser (and wife Stacy), both of Port Orange, Fla., Mickey Ray (and wife Donna), Jerry Ray (and wife Tisha) all of Somerset, Ky., Chris Duncan (and wife Shawn) of Oneida, Tenn., Melody Duncan of Jacksboro, Tenn., and Tina Duncan of San Diego, Calif.; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She also leaves other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home, Oneida, Tenn., with grandson, Mickey Ray officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Carson Memorial Park Cemetery.
