Edna Sue Burton, 60, of Langdon Street, Somerset, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset.
She was born in Burnside, Ky., on July 25, 1946, a daughter of the late George W. and Delta Troxell Latham. She was a retired patient advocate supervisor of Cottage 6 at the Communities of Oakwood. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was also a member of West Bronston Baptist Church for more than 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Burton and Joe R. Burton, both of Somerset; two brothers, Ralph H. (and Mary Sue) Latham of Bronston and David (and Dolly) Latham of Somerset; a half brother, Charles (and Darlene) Latham of Sloans Valley, Ky.; two sisters, Betty (and Baxter) Wells of Monticello, Ky. and Phyllis (and Clifton) Gibson of Somerset; two half sisters, Carolyn Latham and Georgia Latham, both of Tateville, Ky.; the light of her life, her granddaughter, Chelsea Leshea Burton; and two other grandchildren, Mark Moody and Michelle Moody, both of Gainesville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Lee Burton; three brothers, George Latham Jr., Fred Latham, and Jack Latham; two half brothers, Norman Latham and Eugene Latham; three sisters, Grace Walden, Juanita Lawson, and Iva Lee Latham; and a half sister, Linda Latham.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Bowling officiating.
Burial will be in the Latham Family Cemetery in Bronston.
Friends may call Thursday, Dec. 14, after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
