Robert E. Lee Johnson, 91, of Nancy, Ky. died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1922 in Russell County to the late Marcillus and Rebecca Stacy Johnson. He was a farmer, a Veteran of US Army and a member of Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by wife, Grace Irene Johnson; a son, Marshall Johnson; seven brothers, Otha, Tommy, Jack, Alfred, Woodrow, Zolllie, and Albin Johnson; two sisters, Retta Hatfield and Lecta Winchester; and four infant brothers.
Survivors include a son, Barry Johnson, Nancy, Ky.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Grace Jennings, Berea, Ky. and Merle Decker, Somerset.
Funeral services for Robert E. Lee Johnson will be at 10 a.m. CST Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home chapel in Russell Springs, Ky. with Bro. Murrell Crockett officiating.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. CST on Sunday.
Burial will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset.

Mrs. Odena Meece, age 81 of Somerset, Ky., daughter of the late George Alfred and Ida Jane (Tomlinson) Ping, was born in Somerset, Ky. on March 29, 1932 and departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013.
Other than her parents, Odena was preceded in death by her husband, Jermiah Robert Meece, who passed away on March 31, 2013; two brothers, Dewey Ping, Wanda Lee Ping; and one sister, Geneva (Ping) Snow.
She is survived by one son, Jerry (and Martha) Meece of White Lily, Ky.; two brothers, Bob (and Wanda) Ping of Science Hill, Ky. and Lawrence Ping of Ohio; and two grandchildren, Cierra and Jacob Meece.
Odena also leaves behind a very special niece, Joyce Slover; and several family and friends who all mourn her passing.
Odena was a homemaker and a member of White Lily Baptist Church, she loved cooking and sewing.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ernest Warren officiating.
Burial will follow in the White Lily Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Odena Meece will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 after 6 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home.

Timothy L. Mounce, age 54, of Brownsburg, Ind., formerly of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Dec. 24, 2013 in Indiana.

Vickie Foster Pelly, of Crab Orchard, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was 70.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at Antioch Cemetery with Bro. Steve Hoeck officiating.
Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

Patsy Mae Grimsley Wesley, age 68, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Patsy was born on March 13, 1945 in Louisville, Ky. to the late John William and Ella Mae Ridings Grimsley. She was an assistant manager at Somerset Citgo (on East Mt. Vernon St.), an honorary member of Somerset/Pulaski County Rescue Squad, and she was of the Baptist faith. Patsy had a loving and caring heart for everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Wesley, whom she married on Aug. 1, 1964, in West Somerset, Ky., being his “Queen of Hearts” for almost 50 years; her special friend, “Missy,” who rode in Patsy's wheelchair with her everywhere she went; one daughter, Susan Elizabeth (and Robert) Wesley Young of Cincinnati, Ohio; two very special sisters, who she thought of like her daughters, Rita Faye (and Rick) Gilreath, of Imperial, Mo., and Shirley Ann (and David) Hughes, of Bronston, Ky.; three brothers, Charles Grimsley of Somerset, Ky., Gary Wayne (and Lynn) Grimsley of Somerset, Ky., and Bruce Allen Grimsley of Dallas, Texas; a special nephew, Casper Hughes, of Bronston, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Dean Grimsley and Frankie Jackson Grimsley.
Visitation was Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at 12 p.m. at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Delmar Whitter and Bro. Steve Sutton officiating.
Burial will be at Sardis Cemetery in Ansel, Ky. Pallbearers will be Casper Hughes, Kyle Gilreath, David Burton, Donnie Wesley, Michael Grimsley and Lige Stearns.
