Lillian Tarter Coe, 86, of Remington, Ind., passed away at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at IU Health Arnett Hospital. Born on November 4, 1925 in Naomi, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James and Bertha Burton Tarter. 
Lillian married Hugh Glenn Coe on February 7, 1946 in Somerset, Ky. He preceded her in death in 1991. She had worked at Woody's Snack Shop as a waitress, Better Coils and Transformers and Northway Products in Rensselaer. She was a member of the Remington Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving is her daughter Donna Coe Wells (and husband Jeffrey), of Lafayette; her sister Ruth Keeney, of Nancy, Ky.; and her brother Logan Tarter, of Somerset, Ky. Also surviving are three nephews, Gene and Wade Baker and Milton Keeney, and seven nieces, Drucilla Weedle, Phyllis Norfleet, Fontella Keeney, Sandra Chapman, Judy and Kathy Tarter, and Karen Johnson. 
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter Christina Coe, sister Vinnie Baker, and six brothers, Bob, Wyatt, Linnie, Ezra, Evertt, and Lonnie Tarter.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Celebrant Linda Regnier will be officiating. 
Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
