George Abbott
George Chester Abbott, 89, of Middletown, Ohio, formerly of Somerset, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013.
He was born in Pulaski County, Ky., on May 9, 1924, son of the late George C. and Ida May Smith Abbott. He was a retired inspector for General Motors in Dayton, Ohio and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Jean Hines Abbott, whom he married on July 5, 1948; three daughters, Sandra Ann (and David) Valandingham and Gwendolyn Smith, both of Middletown, Ohio, and Denise (and James) Hoban of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Tim Abbott of Somerset; three sisters, Ruth Anderson of Plainfield, Ind., Jeri Barnes of Centerville, Ohio, and Kathi Trick of Springboro, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jordan Abbott of Naples, Fla., Corey Abbott of Lebanon, Ohio, Amanda Hoban and Andrew Hoban, both of Springfield, Ohio and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Stephen Howard Abbott; and son-in-law, Ronald Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. 
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Charlie Carlson
Charlie C. Carlson, 87 passed away January 1, 2014 at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC.
She was born May 30, 1926 in Somerset, Ky., a daughter of the late Charlie and Clora Hammond Correll.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Carlson, two brothers, Wayne and Ray and her sister, Beulah.
Charlie earned multiple Doctorate Degrees from Cathedral Bible College. She was a published author and a professor at Cathedral Bible College for over fifteen years. She was a member at Ocean View Baptist Church and was a true Southern lady.
Survivors include her children, Craig Carlson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Candy Carlson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tina Dreffin of the Bahamas, and Lisa Carlson of Myrtle Beach, SC; five brothers, Ward, Blaine, Estes, Wendell and Richard; two sisters, Kay and Mildred; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday January 4, 2014 at Ocean View Baptist Church in the parlor.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday January 4, 2014 at Ocean View Baptist Church with Dr. Steven Cromer officiating. 
Burial will be on Sunday January 5, 2014 and held privately at 1 p.m. in Homestead Memorial Park in Greenville, NC.

Locklynn Dick
Born December 30, 2013 4:05 a.m. at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Locklynn passed one hour and 15 minutes after birth. His time on earth was short but beautiful. He was a blessing to us all, he touched so many of our hearts and will never be forgotten.
His mother, Charlynn Courtney Dick, cather Tyler Wayne Dick, grama Erika Lorriane Mayben and cousin Cristina Marie Mort, were present during both his birth and passing.
His survivors include his parents Tyler Wayne Dick and Charlynn Courtney Dick of Somerset, Ky.; grandparents Erika Lorriane Mayben of Somerset, Ky., Steven Lee Mayben of Coquille, Ore., and Janet Kay Dick of Nancy Ky.; great-grandparents Dannia Erichsen of Somerset Ky., Phyllis West and Garlen West of Russell Springs, Ky.,Mavis Burton and Frans Burton of Edinburgh, Ind., and Evin Pittman of Bronston, Ky.; and great-great-grandparents Reatha Eads and Horbet Eads of Liberty, Ky.. Locklynn James Dick is survived by several other loved ones including aunts, uncles and cousins. 
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Randy Dick, and great-grandfather Darrel Dick and Jacob Erik Erichsen, and great-great-grandfather Glen Mayben, along with several other family members.
Family is having a small graveside service. In lieu of flowers, we are accepting cards and donations for a headstone.  Thank you for all your support, prayers and love.

Ronald Tolley
Ronald Dale Tolley, 81, of Waynesburg, Ky., passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at his daughter’s home.
He was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on September 2, 1932, son of the late Ballard Joe and Bertha Ida Fassanacht Tolley. He was a retired auto parts salesman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of 2 bronze stars, serving in the tank of infantry.
He is survived by four daughters, Sue Gozdal (and Roger) Stiltner and Bertha Fronek, both of Waynesburg, Ky., Tanna (and Gene) McMillan of Tennessee and Tonda (and Sam) Longshore of Illinois; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Garnet Janice McNeely Tolley and grandson, Gene Autry McMillan.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 38.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Robert Warren
Robert Wayne Warren, 62, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 2, 1951, son of the late Lawrence and Lucy Juanita Whitter Warren. He worked in the car business and was a member of Victory Christian Church.  He was a member of the Mt. Gilead Masonic Lodge and the Waynesburg Volunteer Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his wife, Fanny Eoff Warren of Eubank; one daughter, Tiffany Ann Warren of Eubank; two brothers, Larry (and Vickie) Warren of Somerset, and Carl (and Teresa) Warren of Eubank.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Brenda Warren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Atwood and Bro. Mark Harrell officiating.
Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
