Charles Brown
Charles “Cecil” Brown, age 64, of Goochtown Road in Eubank, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at his residence. 
Born Monday, Sept. 5, 1949 in Rockcastle County, he was the son of the late Charles Leonard and Louella Barrons Brown. His loving wife is Teresa Wilhelm Brown, of Eubank, whom he married on July 13, 1987. 
Cecil worked as a skilled carpenter for many years. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church #2 and member of Waynesburg 328 F&AM. Cecil loved spending time with his grandchildren, he was skilled at working with his hands, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. 
In addition to his wife, Cecil leaves behind one son, Nadan Dale Brown (Melissa) of Eubank; one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Brown Holtzclaw (Robert) of Crab Orchard; one brother, Clarence Jay Brown (Carol Ann) of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Loretta Marcum (Junior) of Somerset and Betty Lou Brown of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren, Andrew Steven Nicely, Tyler Matthew Thompson, Jessica Danielle Brown, Colton Dale Brown, Devin Dewayne Brown, Seth Ryan Thompson, Peyton Charles Marvin Holtzclaw, and Lucas Daulton Brown; and several nieces and nephews. 
In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Earl Brown; and one sister, Beatrice Reynolds. 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church #2 with Bro. Bill Meece and Bro. Ronnie Haste officiating the service. 
Rob Holtzclaw, Andrew Nicely, Tyler Thompson, Seth Thompson, Peyton Holtzclaw, Colton Brown, Devin Brown, and Charles Rankin will serve as Active Pallbearers. Nadan Brown, Lucas Brown, Fred Wilhelm, Jay Brown, and Jason Brown will serve as honorary pallbearers. 
Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Rockcastle County. 
The visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at the church. 
A Masonic service will begin at 7 p.m. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to Gideon’s International.
