Erma Meadows

Erma Ruth Meadows, age 80 of Burnside, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 
She was born on March 21, 1933 in Stone, Ky. to the late Russell and Bertha Peterson Taylor. Mrs. Meadows was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitley City, Ky. She was self-employed as a florist.  Mrs. Meadows loved her flower garden.  
She is survived by three sons, David (and Wanda) Meadows of Georgetown, Ky., Donald Meadows of Louisville, Ky. and Daniel (and Tammy Meadows) of Whitley City, Ky.; six grandchildren, Derrick Meadows, Michael Tucker, Douglas Meadows, Dustin Meadows, Jeremy Meadows and Heather Meadows; one brother, Ray (and Brenda) Taylor of Mainville, Ohio; five sisters, Mildred (and Stanley) Alexander of Middlesboro, Ky., Grace (and William) King of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dorothy (and Bob) Barnett of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ila Stephens of Whitley City, Ky. and Betty (and Doyle) Bryant of Whiteland, Ind.; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special uncle, Ernest Perkins. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Dean Meadows, whom she married on July 4, 1952 in Whitley City, Ky.; and her parents, Russell and Bertha Peterson Taylor.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. at East Appletree Baptist Church in Revelo, Ky. with her funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Brother Harmon Taylor will officiate.  
Burial will be in the Holloway Cemetery in Whitley City, Ky.  
The family request expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Ky. 42503.
