Nellie Baker, 86, of Somerset passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Hospice of Lake Cumberland Care Center.
She was born Feb. 28, 1927 in Bronston, Ky. to the late David Wesley and Ella Mae East Hollars.
Nellie is survived by two daughters, Stella Jean (Larry) Aker and Shirley Lynn (John) Pittman, both of Somerset, Ky.; and one sister, Shirley Jean Hollars Mason of Mt. Pulaski, Ill.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Brandy Walters, Brandon Pittman, Carlie Pittman and Kayden Pittman.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Ellis Price; a grandson, James Ellis Price Jr.; seven brothers, Ralph, Roy, Raymond, Allen, Willie, Starling, and Richard Hollars; and three sisters, Ida Mae Hollars, Hattie Luken, Maude Hancock.
Nellie worked as a C.N.A. at Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation.
A graveside service will be held at Somerset Cemetery on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Bro. William Brown officiating, with burial to follow in the Somerset Cemetery.
The family of Nellie Baker will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Micheal Beal, of Hustonville, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, from injuries sustained in a car accident near Liberty, Ky. He was 26.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Martin officiating.
Burial is in Whited Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Otniel Mina, Derek Riddle, Travis Quinn, David Poncer, Zack Brown, Alex Ashley, and Jimmy Ashley.
Honorary pallbearers are Andrew and Jeffrey Beal.
