Dorothy Wheeldon

Dorothy Mae Faw Wheeldon, age 90 of Eubank, Ky., departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012 at the Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Nov. 5, 1922 in Ash County, N.C. to the late Robert and Maude (Phillips) Faw. Mrs. Wheeldon was a homemaker and member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church No. 2 in Eubank, Ky. for 78 years. She served previously as a Sunday School teacher and was the custodian at the church for over 30 years. Mrs. Wheeldon loved her church and neighbors. She loved gardening and flowers. Mrs. Wheeldon loved her family.   
She married Forrest Campbell Wheeldon on Feb. 3, 1937 in Eubank, Ky. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2010.
Mrs. Wheeldon is survived by four sons, Jerry (and Phyllis) Wheeldon of Somerset, Jimmy (and Sharon) Wheeldon of Eubank, Ky., Garry (and Karen) Wheeldon of Bowling Green, Ky., and Larry (and Tracy) Wheeldon of Eubank, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Iva Todd of Iowa.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Wheeldon; a sister, Faye Wheeldon; and two brothers, Glenn and Ervin Faw.
Visitation for Mrs. Wheeldon will be held at the Oak Grove Baptist Church
No. 2, Goochtown Road in Eubank, Ky. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church No. 2 with Bro. Bill Meece and Brother Barry Vaught officiating. 
Burial will be in the Olive Cemetery in Waynesburg, Ky.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Darin, Ron, Martin, Bradley, Eric, Chris, Jason and Justin Wheeldon. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth, Marvin and Carlos Wheeldon.  
Family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church No. 2 Building Fund.  
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Dorothy Mae Faw Wheeldon.
