Obituaries for Thursday, May 22, 2014

Denton Davis
Denton "Bo" Clell Davis, age 66 of Somerset, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on July 11, 1947 in Somerset, Ky. to the late Isaac and Ethel Maiden Davis. Denton was of the Christian faith and attended Faith Builders Church. He was a former employee at Somerset Houseboats. He received much enjoyment from spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted fanatic of Kentucky basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Catherine Smith and Lucille Phelps; and three brothers, Walter Eugene Davis, Clinton Davis and Lonnie Buster Davis.
He is survived by one son, Joshua (Tracy) Davis of Haslet, Texas; one daughter, Kylie (Simon) Ramirez of Science Hill, Ky.; six grandchildren, Mackenzie Martinez, Alexander Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Natalia Martinez, Hunter Brill and Preston Davis; and four sisters, Mable Elliot of Science Hill, Ky., Joyce (Harold) Loveless of Burnside, Ky., Shirley Lovins of Greenwood, Ind. and Geraldine Miller of Somerset, Ky. 
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Teresa Cook of Colo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 22, 2014 after 6 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jack Goldenberg
Jack L. Goldenberg passed away May 19 after living 93 years in Somerset.
He was the son of Abe and Pauline Lerner Goldenberg. 
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Frances “Frankie” Jaffe Goldenberg; one daughter, Jan Fischer and son-in-law, Steven J. Fischer; one son, Glen J. Goldenberg and his wife Terri Vanhook Goldenberg; grandchildren, Dr. Julie Fischer and husband Mark Lacy, Jeremy Fischer and Gail Hurt, the Reverend Jaime Goldenberg and wife Sandra Forrester, Grant Goldenberg and wife Jennifer Mason, Jordon, Marc and Jon Goldenberg; and the following great-grandchildren: Emma and Mira Lacy, Levi, Jude and Anna Grace Goldenberg, and Ian and Katie Goldenberg.
