Ledford Brock
Ledford Brock, age 86, of Pleasant Point School Road in Waynesburg, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Stanford. 
Honoring Ledford’s wishes, cremation rites have been honored. 
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 in Moreland. For directions, please contact Jessica Plummer at (606) 510-7692.
Following the memorial service, Ledford will be taken back to Norwalk, Ohio to be laid to rest by his wife, Nancy Lou. 
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to help offset burial expenses in Ohio.

Charles Hamlin, Jr.
Charles Hamlin, Jr., age 86, of the Shopville Community, Ky., departed this life on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Charles was born on Sept. 8, 1927, in Middlesboro, Ky. to the late Charles and Myrtle Hamlin. He was a World War II veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Navy. Charles was a millwright for General Motors in Michigan. He married Dora Edna Combs in 1945, they have two sons from their union.
Charles is survived by his two sons, Chris (and Dorothy) Hamlin and Norman Hamlin, both of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brad (and Paula) Hamlin, of Albion, Mich., Jeremy Hamlin, of Dayton, Ohio, Melissa Hamlin, of Dayton, Ohio, and Chris Hamlin, of Englewood, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Bradley Hamlin, Jr, of Parma, Mich. and Brandin Hamlin, of Hanover, Mich.; three great-great grandchildren, T.J. Voiles, of Dayton, Ohio, Ariana Hamlin, of Englewood, Ohio and Joe Hamlin, also of Englewood, Ohio; and friends Sam and Dorothy Inabnitt, Doug and Rosetta Dykes, and Don and Sherry Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dora; his brothers, James Hamlin and Raymond Hamlin; and his sisters, Patty Hamlin Sizemore and Bonnie Jean Hamlin Riggs.
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. 
The funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Bro. Coy Cox will
officiate the service. Full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
Interment will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Julia Heath
Julia Marie Heath 83, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation. 
Julia was born on Nov. 3, 1930 in Somerset, Ky. to the late John William and Delpha Phelps Hargis. She graduated from Shopville High School then completed nursing school. Julia was a nurse for 43 years for both the Somerset Hospital and Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital before retiring. She received many commendations for her service in the emergency room. Julia was a wonderful cook and worked hard to provide for her five children. She was of the Baptist faith and attended church when able. 
She is survived by her son, Bruce Allen Heath of Ocala, Fla.; two daughters, Janice Louise McAdams of Ocala, Fla. and Robyn F. Heath Somerset, Ky.; a brother, Charles Hargis (Fay) of Martinsville, Ind.; a sister, Velma Price (Eulis) of Somerset, Ky.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Harold Muse; a daughter, Jeanie Lynn Blevins; a granddaughter, Clorisa Muse Norton; two sisters, Edith Hargis and Alberta Dyke; a half-sister, Josephine Bray; and a niece, Lynda Hargis Clay.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice of Lake Cumberland and the staff of Lake Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation.
The family of Julia Marie Heath will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 25, 2014 after 10 a.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company. 
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, Jan. 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. also at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with Bro. Ernie Wyatt officiating.
Interment will follow at the White Lily Cemetery. 
Somerset Undertaking is in charge of all arrangements.

Wendel Norfleet
Mr. Wendel Norfleet, age 83 of Somerset, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014.
Christian Funeral Mass will be observed at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at the St. Mildred's Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mr. Wendel Norfleet will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014.

Marilyn Wesley-Kennedy
Marilyn Branscum Wesley-Kennedy, 72, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014.
She was born in Yamacraw, Ky. on July 3, 1941, daughter of the late Theo and Monnie Tucker Branscum. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James Kennedy of Somerset; two daughters, Marketta (and Dale) Phelps of Somerset and Kathy (and Paul) Stockton of Nancy; three brothers, Windle Branscum of Stearns, Ky., Joel Branscum of Wilmore, Ky. and Delbert Branscum of Monticello, Ky.; one step-grandson, Jesse Stockton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walden Glenn Wesley; her parents; an infant brother, Theo Branscum Jr.; and two sisters-in-law, Gloria Branscum and Connie Sue Branscum.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. C.E. Jacobs officiating.
Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
