Anderson Kennedy

Anderson “Kent” M. Kennedy, 41, Shelbyville and formerly of Somerset, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 20, 2013.  
A native of Lorain, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Carol Jean Burns Kennedy and the late Arthur Allen Kennedy. He grew up in McCreary County, where he graduated from McCreary Central High School. He then attended Eastern Kentucky University, where he was working on a nursing degree. He was a caregiver at Oakwood in Somerset, where he lived for ten years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading and movies.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Jean Kennedy of Shelbyville; his twin brother, Matthew Kennedy of Lexington; his half-sister, Shelia (Larry) Jones of Monticello, Ky.; three half-brothers, Dennis (Kathy) Stewart of Decatur, Ill., Donald (Penny) Kennedy, Sr. of Parkers Lake, Ky., and Kenneth Kennedy of Steubenville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
At his request, cremation was selected. 
There will be a private interment service held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Webb Funeral Home.
