Ruby Wood

Ruby Wood, 80 of Ferguson, Ky., departed this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 
She was born on July 27, 1932 in Somerset, Ky., to the late Dale and Mary Goodin Nelson. Mrs. Wood was a member of Grave Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed her church activities. Mrs. Wood was a homemaker.  
She is survived by a son, Charles (and Donna) Wood of Somerset, Ky.; two daughters, Shelva (and Michael) Black of Bronston, Ky., and Charlotte (and Charlie) Tucker of Olive Branch, Miss.; four grandchildren, Taran Foster, Nicholas Woods, Shawn Tucker and Ryan Tucker; nine great-grandchildren; and many special friends. 
Along with her husband, Charles Wood, she was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Mary Goodin Nelson; a daughter, Rosemary Wood; a brother, James Nelson; and a sister, Dorothy Carr. 
Visitation will be on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Ky. 80, Somerset, with her funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Brother Darry Hatfield will officiate. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Grave Hill Cemetery in Tateville, Ky. 
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Ruby Wood.
