Somerset — Herman Schoolcraft

Mr. Herman W. Schoolcraft, 89. of Somerset, Ky., passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Historic Sanctuary of the Somerset First Baptist Church with Dr. French Harmon officiating.  

Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery

The family of Mr. Herman W. Schoolcraft will receive friends at the Historic Sanctuary of the Somerset First Baptist Church from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, April 24, 2014 and from 10 a.m. Friday morning until time for services.

Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Herman Schoolcraft.

Mary Sibal

Mary J. "Peggy" Sibal, 95, of Mount Pleasant, Pa., died Monday April 21, 2014.

She was born April 17, 1919 in Mount Pleasant a daughter of the late James and Barbara Sistek. Early in her life, Peggy was employed at Westinghouse in Pittsburgh. She was an avid bingo player and loved to travel, cook and bake. She was a member of Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant.  

She is survived by two children, Robert Sibal and his wife Carolynn of Somerset, Ky., and Carol Truswell and her husband Richard of Mount Pleasant; five grandchildren, Kenny Sibal, Robert "Bo" Sibal, Chad Truswell and his wife Misty, Michelle Ginder and her husband Jason and Kristopher Truswell; two great grandchildren, Kayden and Caleb Ginder and one brother Charles Sistek of Mount Pleasant.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Michael Sibal; her siblings, Frank Sistek, Rosie Moheny, Jim Sistek, Andy Sistek, Helen Dankulic, Bill Sistek, Joe Sistek, Robert Sistek, Dick Sistek and Eddie Sistek.

Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Thursday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant where services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Bogusz officiating.

Interment will follow in Visitation Parish Cemetery.

Hattie Skaggs, 92, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

 Marie Vaughn

Marie Vaughn, age 76, of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Monday, April 21, 2014 at her residence.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2014 after 5 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  

A memorial service will follow the gathering at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
