Imogene Nighbert, of Somerset, Ky. and formerly of Williamsburg, Ky., departed this life on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Cumberland Nursing and Rehab Center in Somerset, Ky. She was 82 years, one month, and 10 days of age.
She was born on June 18, 1931 in Whitley County, Ky. to the late William Luke Cox and Verna Ada Newman Cox.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, John Wesley Faulkner Jr. and Kenneth Nighbert.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Williamsburg, Ky.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Goodan (Mark) of Somerset, Ky.; her mother, Ada Newman Cox of the Goldbug Community, Williamsburg, Ky.; a grandson, Jonathan Goodan (Beth) of Winder, Ga.; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Williamsburg.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Lee and Rev. Michael Gibbons officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery in Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
