Ruby "Alene" Gibson, age 81, of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Louisville, Ky., departed this life on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Clarksville, Tenn.
Alene was born on Oct. 4, 1932 in Wayne County, Ky. to the late William and Cora Neeley Brown. She married Parker Gibson on Oct. 3, 1951 in Somerset. They have two children from their union. Alene was a replacement operator for General Electric. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in the Kidder community of Wayne County.
She is survived by her husband, Parker; their son, Roger Theodore (and Barbara) Gibson, of Venice, Fla.; their daughter, Judy Yankey, of Land O Lakes, Fla.; her sister, Abby Spears, of Lorraine, Ohio; five grandchildren, Parker Allen Gibson, Lindsey Yankey, Chip Yankey, Courtney Cremeans and Kelly Kuber; and six great-grandchildren, Kera, Haley, Jaden, Zoie, Jacob and Keira.
Preceding Alene in death were her parents; her brother, Rufus Brown; and five sisters, Nannie Jones, Ethel Netherly, Marie Bolin, Christine Casada and Rosie Brown.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Clyde Strunk
Interment will be in Bronston Cemetery.

Ivan Darrell "Mister" Hines, 88, of Eubank, Ky., passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 18, 1925, son of the late John William and Uva Dail Deatherage Hines. He was a truck driver for Oran's for 25 years, then he was the co-owner of Hines Body Shop from 1978 to present. He was a member of Freedom Christian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ella Mae Blevins Hines; his children, Brenda (and Danny) Hackney, Joey (and Barbara) Hines, and Teresa (and Randy) Walker, all of Eubank, Ky.; a grandson, Kevin (and Glenna) Hackney of Eubank, Ky.; a great-grandson, Eli Hackney; brothers and sisters, Doyal Hines, Phyllis Burton, and Maxine Daugherty; and a host of nieces and nephews.
