Denton Barron
Denton Mathias Barron, 75, of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Monday, June 23, 2014 at his residence.
Denton was born on Sept. 4, 1938 in Somerset to the late William Mathias "Tump" and Ida Katherine Denny Barron. He married Sadie Mae Skaggs in Somerset on March 22, 1958. Denton was a self-employed farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Sadie; two sons, David Wayne (and Vickie) Barron, of Somerset, and Randy Lee (and Angie) Barron, also of Somerset; one daughter, Brenda Gail Barron, of Somerset; three brothers, George (and Margaret) Barron, of Somerset, Leroy Barron, of Somerset, and Willard (and Mary) Barron, of Ohio; one sister, Earlene (and Edward) Bullock, of Somerset; one sister-in-law, Mary Barron, also of Somerset; nine grandchildren, David "Poncho" Barron, of S.C., Rebecka Ann (Smith) Gilbreath, of Somerset, Kimberly Ann (Barron) Wilson, of Somerset, Dakota Lee Barron, Dalton Ray Barron, Dawson Chase Barron and Holly Reanne Barron, all of Somerset, Jason Golden, of Somerset and David Allen Golden, of Ga.; and nine great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kaitlyn, Ashton and Cailyn Barron, Emily, Nicholas and Noah Wilson, and Morgan and Mark Gilbreath.
Preceding Denton in death are his parents; an infant daughter, Kathy Jean Barron; his daughter, Joyce Ann Barron Smith; three brothers, Clarence Barron, Oscar Barron, and Lester Barron; and three sisters, Freeda Alexander, Mary Alice Sutton and Damie McKenzie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. 
His funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Bro. Ferlin Price will officiate the funeral service. 
Interment will be in Eden Cemetery.
