Drucella W. Jordan, 80, of Marietta, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.
A native of Ingle, Ky., Mrs. Jordan was married to the late Samuel B. Jordan and served with him in four churches in Florida and Kentucky. She was an educator for over 30 years and her passion was teaching people to read. Mrs. Jordan was of the Southern Baptist faith and her favorite hobby was gardening.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd and Stanley Weddle.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Phillip) Speer of Marietta and Linda (Scott) Parker of Vestavia Hills, Ala.; sisters, Mary Jane (Don) Withers of Nicholasville, Ky. and Freda (Vertrees) Daulton of Somerset, Ky.; brothers, Paul (Donna) Weddle of Arlington, Va. and Gene (Lucy) Weddle of Somerset, Ky.; grandchildren, Matthew (Bethany) Speer and Jennie (Justin) Isasi, all of Marietta, and Christopher and Michael Parker, both of Vestavia Hills, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Eli, Micah, and Aaron Speer, all of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Road, Marietta, Ga., 30066.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Phillip Speer officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.

Clarence Love, 97, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.

Betty McKinney, 65, of Science Hill, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in King Bee, Ky. on March 7, 1948, daughter of the late Hoy and Hazel Warren Mofield. She was a housekeeper for 36 years and 33 years for the Science Hill Post Office. She attended West Science Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Brittany McKinney and Keshia McKinney;
and a great-grandson, Kaiden Allen Ellis.
She is also survived by two brothers, Roy (and Donna) Mofield of Eubank and Coy (and Betty Sue) Mofield of Science Hill; one sister, Flonnie (and Eddie) Dye of Nancy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Allen McKinney; and special companion, Don Robinson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. T.J. Godby officiating.
Burial will be in King Bee Cemetery.
