Somerset — Paul Loveless

Paul Edward Loveless, 75, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

He was born in Mt. Zion, Ky., on January 22, 1939, son of the late Frank and Ethel Marie Baugh Loveless. He was a retired dairy farmer and logger. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Early Loveless of Somerset; one son, Ricky (and Sharon) Loveless of Eubank; one daughter, Vickie (and Mike) Calder of Somerset; three brothers, Glenn Loveless and Spencer Loveless (and Peggy Wesley), both of Eubank and Frank Wayne (and Brenda) Loveless of Russell Springs, Ky.; four sisters, Reeda (and Larry) Compton of Walton, Ky., Lois (and Bill) Alexander of Eubank, Mary Lou Hall of Woodstock and Wilma (and Sonny) Hood of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Ashton (and Dustin) Meece, D.J. Pinkel, Jackson Calder, Canon Calder, Madison Loveless, Dylan Loveless and Camron Silvers; two great-grandchildren, Gracie Pinkel and Raelynn Calder; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Alfreda Bishop; and two brothers-in-law, Milford Hall and Elmer Bishop.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Miller and Bro. Slade Moore officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Cheryl McMullin

Cheryl Ann McMullin, 49, of Bethelridge, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014.

She was born on December 17, 1964, daughter of Clara Taylor Logan, and the late James Edward Logan. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie McMullin; three daughters, Sabrina McMullin, and Tracey McMullin-Lyons both of Somerset, Crystal "Boo" Lane of Lexington; one brother, James David Logan of Yosemite; one sister, Tammy Eskridge of Somerset; and seven grandchildren, Johnny, Noah, Brianna, James, Alex, Preston, and Mackinzie.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Bullock officiating.

Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery.

Visitation for Cheryl McMullin will be after 11 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  • Viola Nichols

    Viola Keith Nicholas was born Sept. 5, 1921 to the late William and Alice Jones Keith and she departed this life to her eternal home on April 7, 2014, having attained the age of 92 years.
    She was a devoted wife to the late Wesley Nicholas for 50 years. She was a faithful member at Grave Hill Baptist Church where she taught the Ladies Sunday School class for many years. She retired from the Pulaski County Board of Education. After retirement she served as a foster grandparent at Oakwood Training Facility for special needs children. She also volunteered at the Burnside Elementary preschool program, giving her time, talents and love to the 3 and 4 year old children whom she adored.
    Viola is survived by two daughters, Diana (and Austin) Alton, and Tana (and Tom) Chesney; one son, Rex Nicholas; and three brothers, Robert (and Barbara) Keith, Danny (and Ann) Keith, and David (and Ellen) Keith.  
    She was also blessed with many grandchildren and all were special to her.
    Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Nicholas and Gale Nicholas; two grandsons, Ricky Alton and Michael Nicholas; a granddaughter, Karen Alton Cogdill; and the following siblings: Alicie Super, Emerine Neeley, Mattie Keith, Maggie Godsey, Bertha Duncan, Clara Helton, Otis Keith, Clora Hardwick, Vergie Keith, Grover Keith, Mertie Yeskie, Lowell Keith, Joyce Sellers, Bill Keith, and Jim Keith; and the following step-siblings: Murphy Owens, Geneva Hill, Louise Fritts, and Reva Jones.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Darry Hatfield and Bro. Doyle Worley officiating.
    Burial will follow in the Grave Hill Cemetery.
    The family of Mrs. Viola Keith Nicholas will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The Grave Hill Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 85, Tateville, Ky. 42558, or Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Ky. 42503.
