Somerset — Enos Dick

Enos Dick, 74, of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014.  

He was born on Dec. 20, 1939 to the late Otis and Dessie Dick. Enos was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired employee of Crane Company.

Enos loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, song leader, and faithful member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

He left behind his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Shirley Dick; four loving daughters, Donna (and Jeff) Petrey of Eubank, Lisa (and Steve) Amon of Lancaster, Kim (and Scott) Ingram of Somerset, and Marsha (and Eddie) Phelps of Nancy; 10 grandchildren, Justin (and Casey) Petrey, Amanda (and Brett) Price, Josh Petrey, Holly (and Adam) Dixon, Heather Wheet, Jacob Phelps, Jalee Phelps, Seth Ingram, Chris (and Jin) Amon, and Jason Amon; and five great-grandchildren, Terissa, William, Kaiah, Jaxen, and Kaseyn.

He also leaves behind four sisters, Edith Fields of Ohio, Stella Atkinson of Ind., Geneva Irvine of Ind., and Ruth Wesley of Mintonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Garvis Dick; and two sisters, Iva Hines and Eva McFarland.

Visitation for Enos Dick will be on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Yaden officiating.

Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 honor guard.

Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling all arrangements for Mr. Enos Dick.

Bertha Secord

Bertha Secord, age 82 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1932 in Perry County, Ky. to the late Ollie and Mima Combs Saylers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Richardson; one daughter, Marjorie Marie Richardson; three brothers, Amos Saylers, Jerry Saylers and Junior Saylers; and four sisters, Betty Williams, Mary Lee Mullins, Nancy Combs and Bonnie Capehand.

She is survived by five sons, Amos Richardson of Fort Worth, Texas, J.K. Richardson of Williamston, Mich., James A. (Polly) Richardson of Huntington, Ind., Michael Richardson of Blufton, Ind. and Ricky Richardson of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; two daughters, Helen (Eugene) McPherson of Somerset, Ky. and Teresa (David) York of Williamston, Mich.; one brother, Johnny Saylers of Fla.; and 27 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 after 6 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Sams Mountain Cemetery in Middlesboro, Ky.

Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
